GCNM proposes nationwide civil society support for insecticide-treated net distribution campaigns, post-campaign monitoring and continuous community sensitization.
Proposed community contribution
- Door-to-door net hanging support and household education.
- Follow-up on ITN use, care and maintenance.
- Behaviour change communication to help close the gap between ownership and utilization.
- Community tracking of net-to-sleeper ratios and coverage gaps.
- Community-generated evidence to support timely redistribution in underserved areas.
The approach is intended to combine community engagement with practical monitoring so programme teams can identify gaps after distribution rather than relying on distribution figures alone.
