GCNM’s engagement with the National Malaria Elimination Programme is intended to present proposed strategic intervention priorities for inclusion in the GC8 grant-writing process, strengthen collaboration between NMEP and civil society, demonstrate how community-led systems can improve accountability, data quality, service uptake and equity, and advocate for sustainable investment in local implementation structures.
Strategic vision
GCNM envisions a people-centered malaria response where communities are empowered to participate actively in prevention, surveillance, accountability and service delivery. The coalition seeks to support Ghana’s malaria elimination agenda through integrated community engagement, digital reporting, social and behaviour change, and equity-focused outreach.
Alignment
The proposed intervention package is framed around the Global Fund modular areas of vector control, case management, specific prevention interventions, monitoring and evaluation, and community systems strengthening. It is intended to complement national priorities for malaria prevention, diagnosis, treatment, maternal malaria prevention and equity.
