GCNM seeks to support the social mobilization component of Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention implementation through coordinated civil society action at district and community levels.
Proposed role of the coalition
- Coordinate CSO-led community mobilization activities.
- Use the coalition’s membership network for community engagement, sensitization and household awareness creation.
- Support caregiver awareness, treatment adherence and uptake of SMC services among target populations.
- Work with NMEP, Regional Health Directorates and District Health Teams to align mobilization with programme implementation.
The proposed model uses established local organisations and community structures to strengthen demand generation and implementation support while maintaining coordination with the national malaria programme and health system.
