The Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Malaria has prepared a set of proposed strategic intervention priorities for engagement with the National Malaria Elimination Programme during the GC8 grant development process.

The proposals focus on stronger collaboration between NMEP and civil society, sustainable investment in community systems, improved accountability and data quality, and more equitable access to malaria prevention and services.

The proposed areas include ITN distribution and post-campaign monitoring, Community-Led Monitoring, integrated social and behaviour change, IPTp and maternal malaria prevention, community case management and outreach, surveillance and elimination activities, organizational systems strengthening, and SMC social mobilization.

GCNM’s position is that community evidence and local implementation structures can complement national and district systems when they are coordinated, accountable and linked to formal decision-making processes.
